Green, Digital and Competitive SME Index

Green, Digital and Competitive SME Index

The Green, Digital and Competitive SME Index is an online tool developed to track and analyse the state of play on SME policy in the European Union’s 27 member states. The dashboard is structured in three dimensions:

1. Digital Transition - looks at how digital are the SMEs and how much they use cutting-edge technologies to reach more customers, deliver more customer value and focus on core business without having to build up needless capacity and back office.

2. Green Transitions - looks at how green are the SMEs and what kind of actions they take to make the green transition, aiming to identify and analyse best practice.

3. SME Competitiveness - looks at how competitive are the European SMEs and how are they performing, by looking at company growth and success in new markets – both within and outside of the European Union.

Inevitably, the transition is complex and multidimensional and these indicators can be improved.
Is it the current list complete? Are there missing indicators? Are existing indicators appropriate?
